1. True, in that it's not especially innovative dubstep, but I still don't think there's much this EDM-ish in modern pop.

I mean, part of that is that pop-music production has a fairly rigit set of rules within which it's hard to make a truly awful song. But pop lyricism's rules are basically just a list of cliche phrases to mix and match. There are exceptions on the lyrics rule: Thrift Shop, for example, at least TRIES to be about…

Any clarification as to what's wrong with it? I thought it was a good song, myself, and a strong argument for dubstep use in a pop setting. It's a catchy and fun song! I'm not sure what's so bad about Taylor Swift either.

Even if you're joking, people like you are as bad as people who say they "Don't Watch TV" or "Don't Read." Even though pop music might not be seen as "cool" or something, cultural illiteracy will NEVER get you geek cred.

I don't understand all the love for Locked Out Of Heaven. If it were just a Police ripoff, that would be one thing (although hating so-called police-ripoff Gotye and then turning around and giving this an A is a taaad hypocritical), but it's not, it's an awful electropop cover of The Police, basically a crappy EDM…
