Thanks

All I can think of in terms of adaptations of Alice in Wonderland is Jan Svankmejer's "Alice," one of my favorite films of all time, except maybe for the part where every time a character speaks it cuts to a closeup of the main character's lips saying, for example, "Said the white rabbit." It's supposed to make it

Hey, Teti, will you be writing more newswires or is this a weird one-off? It's funny, but it's not, like, exceptional in subject matter or video-game related which makes me think maybe you're doing more newswire stuff now or something?

You Know You're Too Emotionally Invested In A TV Show When…

Cut the "quite," and you're halfway there. Jesus, me… 10/23?? That's not even 50%. I regularly beat fifty percent at the GRAMMYS! You know, the awards that gave their best album award to a JONI MITCHELL TRIBUTE ALBUM BY HERBIE HANCOCK??? And I predict ALL the categories at the grammys! I'm better at guessing who'll

I'll say this: if Mad Men reeeeallly kills the second half of its last season, I could see it having a big comeback, including acting awards. Until then? Zip chance.

I swear to god, I've switched that prediction between Parsons, CK, and Bateman about 30 times now. Categories that are really weak are even harder to predict than categories that are uniformly strong.

"Jayne Mansfield's car offers up … many meaningful things[:]… Weirdo car[!]… Wartime scars[!]…Pin-up icon[!]… Crotchety old paterfamilias accidentally ingests acid[!]… Characters scream[!], throw glasses[!], screw[!], and strip nude[!]… Bring[s] together lots of fine actors in the beautiful rural southern sunshine.

Yeah, I joined the site about a month before the change.

its still
really bad.

Futurama is truly one of the best animated television shows of all time. In fact, I'd say next to the Simpsons, it is THE best; and weighing for average quality per episode, it'd beat even that. Goodbye, Futurama. You will be missed; but I look forward to watching you over and over again on DVD. And then getting in

I had a weird dream a few nights ago where I was at a local pool; and there was a space they rent out for kid's birthday parties etc. nearby, and of course it was damp and gross and covered in birthday-party refuse and then I noticed there was house-furniture all around and there was a guy decorating the space to look

For a long time Corey Feldman used to go to bed early. Sometimes, when he had put out his lava lamp, which was at all times held by a callgirl except from 4 to 6 when she worked at McDonalds, his tiny wrinkled eyes would close so quickly that he had not even time to say “I’m going to sleep, bitches,” to an empty bed.

Remember when the first season of The Wire came out and almost no one paid attention?

It was a sleepless Sunday night,
and Breaking Bad was airing.
The networks, they all quaked in fright;
their faces, terror wearing.
