Jack Mathews wrote a review of "Stripes" in the Detroit Free Press which described the movle as "truly a movie for people who like to laugh now and think later."  A week later, a newspaper ad for the film quoted the review, proclaiming: "'Stripes'…truly a movie for people who like to laugh."

It's a rizzle my schnizzle day.

I reccomend the first season of P & R for no better reason than it's only six episodes—it's not like it's ten hours out of anybody's life.

Todd—I don't necessarily disagree with you, but with all due respect, what I would hate to see is P & R add conflict for the sake of adding conflict, for no better reason than we've all seen the ways in which sitcoms do this:  a character gets pregnant, a character gets a horrible new boss, a troubled, younger cousin

The writers have used Jean Ralphio wisely, not allowing him to Urkelize the show.

One word:  Saget.

Looks like "The Clone Wars" has something in common with "The Larry Sanders Show."

Once again, the AV Club has succeeded in making me feel ancient, because the very first inventory item that popped into my head was from 28 years ago—and because it did not make the list.

My all-time favorite guest on "Farm FIlm/Celebrity Blow-Up" was Short portraying Dustin Hoffman—as Dorothy Michaels

Five years ago, I attended the Patty Kazmaier Award dinner which is awarded to the women's college ice hockey player in the U.S.  The keynote speaker was Angela Ruggerio, who at the time was not only a previous Kazmaier winner, but a three-time (later a four-time) U.S. Olympian.

Never having seen the show, thanks largely to this article, it intrigues me  However, the clip really doesn't induce me to investigate further—taken out of whatever context it was in, it's plays like a three-minute video version of one of those sappy Facebook prayers exhorting me to share it if I agree whatever

291 comments and counting!  Let's keep this one going, people—it may be our only chance at getting the "classic" reviews started again!!!

She was HALF of the JUDDS!  NOW there's just ONE OF THEM!  SO SHE IS A JUDD—SHE IS A SINGLE JUDD!!!

It's kind of strange—Shanding appeared in a little introductory piece created for the complete series box and he did not seem…well, as though he'd had health issues since filming the other bonus features for the "Not Just The Best" boxed set a couple of years earlier.  It was disarming—I know I've aged twenty years in

I've got parking tickets comin' out of my ass

Grapefruit juice is a major ingredient.

AFAIK, the reviews of the first two seasons, although incomplete, are the most prominent (if not the only) episode-by-episode overview of any part of "Larry Sanders" to be found on the web.  I can think of no better reason to finish the project.

I was to see a supercut of Artie calling people "sweetheart" with a big shit-eating grin on his face.

"The Performance Artist" was another episode with gay themes that was absolutely brilliant.

It's also one of the few HBO series for which the DVD sets do not seem to be available in stores—at least not here in Florida, where the Best Buy video shelves seem to always have a section exclusivly devoted to HBO series.  Even Walmart—which at one time refused to sell rap CD's with warning labels—now sells complete
