yeah, Funny People is really fucking long, but it feels like they cut a lot of NECESSARY stuff out this time. It reminded me a lot of the theatrical release of Watchmen, the plot jumped around and there was really obvious cuts.
If you throw up enough free throws you are bound to get some bricks. Just because Apatow has produced two bad movies doesn't make him NOT a golden boy.
The puppet show in FSM is probably one of the best scenes in a movie full of really great comedy bits and also some real clunkers (IMO Russell Brand is so horribly unfunny in this movie and elsewhere, can't believe they are doing a spin-off of his character).
