The joke was better when that one guy did it with HANCOCK and Girl Talk's FEED THE ANIMALS.

I agree with WHAT IS THE WHAT, mainly because I had to read it for a freshman comp class and we never did anything with it.

Placeholder: Like I said, the show in and of itself seemed to be an attempt at a sort of WIRE for basic cable, so the scene could be viewed as an homage to THE WIRE in the first place.

I'm so hurt. Ouch.

You touched on the exact reason I'm afraid to dive into it a second time. I've basically put it on a pedestal.

MY POINT EXACTLY. 90% of the fall ABC lineup is pure shit, and the other 10% is EASTWICK.

Yeah, but THE WIRE ripped it off HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREETS (another David Simon production) and the whole show in and of itself was somewhat WIRE Lite.

THEY CANCELED THE UNUSUALS FOR THIS SHIT.
After LOST is over I'm never fucking watching ABC again.

HoL is one of the few books that utterly freaks me out. I've been tempted to re-read it but I was so close to actually just totally having a nervous breakdown over that book.

I guess that means we won't be getting a WUIB about it, huh.

HOUSE OF LEAVES HOUSE OF LEAVES
MAN UP AND FACE THE MINOTAUR, AV CLUB.

I didn't even get that far into it. The whole world felt, cardboard I guess, it didn't feel real. It felt like, to me at least, it was going for cheap thrills.

Do you really expect them to tell you who the Mother is BEFORE the series finale?

Traded in Fallout 3 last week.
Not to take anything away from people who did enjoy it, but I just couldn't get into it at all.

*stabs SouthofHeaven in the chest*

Say "shark" again motherfucker!

Question about DARK TOWER comics…
Do I have to have read the books to get into it? I plan on reading through the series this summer (despite the ending, yes) but I want to read the comics too, because they've gotten good reviews here.

You're sick? I HAVE THE STIGMATA!!!!!!!!

"Here's…Dan Brown…: He's called upon to unravel…Earth…as a self-righteous show-off…crammed with…Tom Hanks. Anyone up for…blow[ing]…Ron Howard[?]"

Ben is a Cancer. Duh.
