The problem is, the singers don't choose their songs.  If Cowell doesn't understand her or trust her abilities, he's going to undermine what she sings.  He gave her Whitney's song because he didn't expect her to do well.

I totally enjoyed Josh's voice and the arrangement of his song.  I never could stand the original version, but the way Josh changed it up made it interesting, gave it a different point of view.  I enjoy the range of his talent—from soul, to gospel, to pop—he can do it all, and he puts his own personal stamp on
