Betty's actor (Lili Reinhart) said that there was a line where she told Jughead that "they're moment" is to be to continued right before she leapt into her tangent about the car.

He's always shown writing at the diner so I assume he probably stays around there

I'm pretty sure Polly is older, I think it was either in the pilot or the second episode where Betty said that Polly is her older sister, so she may either be 16 or 17. Jason is 17 they said that in the first episode so that would mean Cheryl is 17 since she is his twin.

It went up this week and is not that far behind from the other CW series so it might be okay.

I think it was the fact that it was this indie film made on a tiny budget that a bunch of people didn't even know existed. So because of that fact people complained and said it didn't deserve its nomination. Probably also because it got in over other bigger films that "deserved it more".

Jughead literally had to remind Archie in the second episode that a kid was dead so I wouldn't be surprised if the writers are intentionally writing him that way.
