Perhaps for this reason and for others (lazy familiarity? cast charisma?) I find it beyond almost comforting, right into "yes, comforting" territory.

I genuinely love the AV Club, because where else does a clothing size inflation discussion touch on how it affects the verisimilitude of The Devil Wears Prada?
As with clothing size inflation I think our notion of what a fatty is (is that a technical term?) probably gets adjusted upward over time.
I grew up on the west coast and we only ate Nathan's.
