An Education
I saw it this weekend. The theater was surprisingly packed for an early saturday evening. The movie was good! Enjoyable, very pleasant. Nothing mind-blowing, but a reasonably fun way to waste a few hours out of the rain.

I'm gay and I love pro-wrestling. I used to think that you had to be gay to like pro-wrestling.. Then I learned that it was mostly very non-gay people who enjoyed it. Strange how that works out!

The most offensive part of the commercial..
Is that gosh-awful noise that the toaster makes when it appears at around 6 seconds in. It's like nails on a chalkboard, I tells ya! Or someone just smashed a synthesizer to pieces because they couldn't get a real "appears from thin air" sound. Yuck.

I was always confused about that.. So he's angry that only one bad guy died and not both? Why is Foxx's character portrayed as the corrupt, evil villain? Why should his family be slain (or attempted)? What did they have to do with this.. why this eye-for-eye mentality glorified? Nobody wins when revenge is…

He does stand-up comedy.

Yeah I can't understand what it's about. I suppose I could watch it at some point, but why would I want to? Seeing hot stripper girls isn't comedy.. It's just smut. And sure smut has a place in life, but not when I want to watch comedy. It's just like those "sexy singles" ads the play on comedy central at night..…

It reaches 2G1C level of ridiculousness.. Trust me, you're much better off not knowing.

Yeah I think the Scrubs bahamas episodes were definitely of the "we've had a fun 8 years working on this, let's go somewhere delightful and drink a lot" kind of vibe.. I think they deserved it.
