From what I've read most Haitians only speak Creole. Only government officials, the highly educated and the elite in Haiti speak French. An immigrant from Haiti, working as a domestic in the USA would not be in this category.

Am I the only one who can't stand this show? I find the extreme close-ups and camera angles annoying. Why can't they focus the camera on the person who is speaking instead of having the camera just stare at the other character. What's the point of not having the dialogue synchronized with what's going on the

"The Following" is a terrible show. A hodgepodge of cliches, needless violence, plot lines going nowhere. There's no character development just endless stabbing and babbling.

the whole French speaking stuff is so dumb. As other posters have mentioned multilingual people don't switch in and out of their native tongue. Why is she speaking French anyway. Are any other characters from France?, are they in Quebec City, Paris or Port-au-Prince? The writers probably saw how interesting the

I think this show will only get more ridiculous as the season progresses. What kind of story arc will they be able to pursue here? Will "Larry the cable guy" show up at Country Joe Carroll's shack and join the cult? How many more absurd murder scenes will the evil twins create? stay

What will I do with myself on Tuesday mornings now that this show is over?  I loved waking up early and heading to the netbook to read the  hilarious reviews and comments.  I thought the best part of the finale was when Kevin Bacon went on about how "pretentious" it all was and he was sick of Poe.  I wish I could

Has anyone else noticed that every episode of this show ends with cast members either in an ambulance or talking right outside of one.  Is the show somehow getting sponsorship from the American Ambulance Association.  It's as if instead of heading over to the local watering hole to sum up the day's events they have to

to me the dialog is so bad I get the impression that there actually is no script for the show.  the actors are just put together someone shouts "Roll….." and the actors say whatever comes to mind.  on second thought maybe it isn't so improvisational, you have to sit down and think to write dialog that bad.
why on earth

This show just reminds me that "There is no such thing as bad publicity."  If the show was a true "F" no one would be watching it and this message board would be empty.  Whoever is putting out "The Following" at least is getting some people to watch the show and that's the whole point isn't it?  I'd never spent any

I loved the final scene at the rave/circus/halloween party as the cops try to rescue "Clare Matthews".  The show has an air of "Inspector Clouseau" about it.  That last scene reminded me of a Pink Panther movie where a band of assassins are trying to off Clouseau at the Munich Oktoberfest.
I still wonder about the

I can't believe I'm still watching this terrible show. As Monday approaches I find myself waiting for the next installment of "The Following".  When I go to bed Monday night after having watched an episode I look forward to the next morning's reading of this comment board to find out what new absurdities have been

Did anyone notice that this week there were no flashbacks?  I missed them. This show is so dumb, none of the characters are realistic and the plot is implausible.  Still I enjoy watching it.  Imagine what these cult followers are doing all day in their retreat, sitting around reading Poe and sharpening knives. I think

This show is terrible.  Utterly implausible, wooden one dimensional characters and an incomprehensible plot.  A gang of serial killers inspired by Edgar Allan Poe.  Are they serious?  Still I love watching this show, I can barely contain from shrieking with laughter as this series gets weirder
