Emotion. That's the key thing that I find absent in so much of Hickman's work. I find more feeling in his charts and graphs and funky design pages than in dialog scenes between characters.

I leaned towards DC for years. Oh, I liked a lot of Marvel stuff, but I liked DC more. And then the 90's happened, and Marvel damn near drove me away with their greedy stupidity. I see so much of that with DC now. Has there ever been a regime so anxious to obstruct their creators, so confused about what their fanbase

On the Batwoman controversy, Another DC title to cancel. Who could do a comparable job on Batwoman? Short of Greg Rucka coming back, or Ed Brubaker signing on, which isn't going to happen, I can't thjink of a writer I'd like to see on the book. And an artist? They were already trying my patience with fill-ins from

Oh, enough about Tyler Perry, for God's sake. I had hoped one of the few favorable consequences of Affleck taking the Batman role was dropping out of this movie, and yet another role that Affleck seems too old and ill-suited for. Damn.

After hearing about plans for this movie a few years ago, I wondered what had happened to it. So clearly a recipe for disaster. In case anyone thought signing up for season 2 of Smash was the worst mistake a neophyte actor could make.

I agree with most of the commenters that Gus' abduction at the end of the episode was way too contrived. There were a number of ways that Gus' kidnapping could have been achieved without going that far. Okay, yeah, the parallels between the opening of the episode were there, but things worked out too conveniently for

Linder would prefer to chop wood with an iron.

As stupid as letting your material witness slip out of the bathroom of the diner where you took her for lunch.

Wow, you guys aren't messin' around, are you? Even the Following wasn't getting D grades this soon.

I agree. And if you see the story as an intriguing departure for Cap, that's all well and good. But if you see it as an overlong, depressing tour through some well-worn sci-fi tropes (like me), it was more like nearly a year wasted.

The Inhumans put together a good run every few years, but it never lasts for long. Doug Moench and Gil Kane had a good short run in the 70's, but it got cut short. And I feel as though Marvel is still trying to follow up Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee's miniseries, which was probably the apex for the group.

As for being an entertainer who resonates with people he doesn't care for, maybe he could get some advice on that from Kurt Cobain.

I was encouraged when I'd heard that Dave Chappelle was going to be touring as a stand-up again.I suggested to my wife we try and get to see him.

I thought it was just me. But the ongoing plot with Matt Frewer and his project/movement/conspiracy was not as compelling as the show seemed to think. I know that it was unsustainable, but seeing Maslany bungle around as a cop in the early episodes was one of the things that hooked me on the show.

Good to know. Now I just need to finish Orange up.

A friend of mine is freaking out because FX is releasing season 5 of Sons of Anarchy too close to the season 6 debut, and he's afraid he won't be able to get caught up soon enough.

I've been bingeing the last half of American Horror Story: Asylum this week. Wonder why this wasn't on the list. Heh.

Asshole. DiDio, that is.

I'm a big 4th World partisan. But strangely enough, I don't have the same affection for Kirby's work once he returned to Marvel. His Captain America and Black Panther runs, especially, as he followed too closely behind the lengthy, iconic runs of Steve Englehart and Don McGregor. These were writers who were really

I want to extend my thanks to you, CineCraft, for sharing your detailed and sensitive perspectives on autism. I've gone back and forth about sharing this, but one of my six-year-old twin sons was diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum a few years ago.
