It's kinda long and not terribly cinematic,
since it's all done with dialogue, voiceover, prop text and set dressing, but the opening minutes of Synecdoche, New York where Caden wakes up in September 2005 and by the time he's finished breakfast, seen a dentist and then an ophthalmologist, it's March 2006.

By far my favorite Soderbergh film
When I told him that at a New Orleans screening of And Everything Is Going Fine last year, he seemed genuinely perplexed and a bit perturbed, as if he was thinking "what exactly do you think about the rest of my work?" All I remember him saying about it was that he's yet to show it

Though you may be crying by the time the credits roll, you'll also be smiling. This is a great tribute to Gray's life and Forrest Gray's music at the end triumphantly celebrates the man.

Weep for H. Jon Benjamin & crew
So does this mean "Bob's Burgers" crashed and burned? Haven't heard anything about that show since before the SD ComicCon.

David was going to play opposite Bob, but he decided instead to direct the sketch and let Jay take the part. A decision he really enjoyed, according to the commentary, because Jay is hilarious.

Up until the announcer started repeating Tim and Eric's names over and over, I got a big The Jay Leno Show/Tonight Show with Jay Leno feeling from the opening credits. Tim's been really vocal about his hatred for Leno on his Twitter feed, and Leno's embodied peddling comedic pablum to the masses far better than SNL

Track 14
Every website, including Nonesuch's, says this album has 13 tracks, but iTunes has a 14th song.
Anyone know if "When Will You Love Me Again?" is an iTunes exclusive, or has it screwed up again and listed a hidden track?

Freakonomics is definitely okay. Some of the segments, like Morgan Spurlock's, are already completed.

As of 2009
4 down, 10 to go.

All of the "I'm Dana Carvey" stuff falls pretty flat, without the payoff the "pranksters" get tired after the third episode, and a lot of impersonations are one note.
That said, he realized the Q&A stuff sucked, as did the corporate sponsor songs (which were never as satirical as they should have been), and by the end

It's like a pioneer porn shop in this thread.
Shut it down, boys!

mother fudge.
the dreaded double post.
I'm so ashamed.

Not that it's terribly chilling
but I'm surprised you didn't mention this prescient bit of dialogue from the cold open:

Did the end of TFINYR not stick it enough to the distributors for you? He certainly doesn't go into detail on the distributors, but the ending's enough to prompt the audience to think "this is all related."

I too was looking for a juicy Clone High question/comment, since it is the best (animated) show to come out of MTV in the new millennium.
I mean, I'm not looking for a new season (maybe a better DVD though…) but for one of the most intelligent shows ever to air on a station that continued to stoop to the lowest common

How do you propose we track down and find that mythical 5-hour cut, Ian?

I dig this movie, a lot
Saw it soon after it was released on VHS and I've rewatched it a ton of times.
I quote it often and have been extolling praises for it for years.
God damn right, Secret Success.
