well, he did say it was submitted to the Academy for award consideration, and we all know that you don't win Oscars goin full retard. Seriously, did anyone anywhere pick up on Denny's supposed retardation? I mean, I may have called elements of the film retarded, but I never meant literally.

Agreed, schadenfreude does indeed rock. That said, my sincere condolences to whoever had to transcribe his answers. They're almost impossible to decipher when he's actually speaking, getting them down on paper (er text whatever) must have been almost impossible. I can picture the job driving one to drink.

Are we really gonna go down that road again? I enjoyed that debate as much as anyone, but really? As Nancy said herself, "I don't know why I'm arguing about this, he was a pedophile." I'm probably misquoting that, but you get the idea. I think it was much more about the sisterly dynamic between the two than about

celia
I was watching the clips for future eps in the credits of this weeks show, and it looks like Celia turns up on Nancy's doorstep, so it would seem that somehow she will end up tying in. I was thinking she and her "kidnapper" would end up abducting Esteban, but that theory is shot all to hell. Loved the scene

I'll agree the DVD wasn't great, but I was at that First Ave show at the end (I can even see myself in some of the crowd shots), so it was kinda fun to relive that moment. It was, if I remember, the first time they sold that venue out, and the whole show had this amazing celebratory feeling about it that sadly

Adding my name to the list of lovers of "Dirty Work". Anything that lets Norm McDonald keep his withering sarcastic delivery is fine by me. That man is hilarious.

That's an interesting theory, and I can't say I would be surprised if it came true, but wasn't the whole point of kidnapping Celia to get funding for some half-cocked revolution? If he had that much of an organized group, would he need the ransom money so bad? I can't come up with a better idea of how to tie her back

I've actually grown to hate Silas less over the last couple seasons. I wanted to strangle him by the end of season 2, but not so much now. Shane, I've always felt bad for, and I kinda see where this development is coming from, but it doesn't make it any less nausea-inducing to watch play out. That said, he's still

I'm not saying she isn't funny, I just would like to see her better used than she is currently being. She was one of my favorite characters in the first two seasons, which is why her current state is so frustrating to me.

yeah, what was up with him taking picture of his aunt and uncle? First the pics of Nancy from last season, now this? That kid is deeply disturbed.

I still say it would be more in the category of a "hate fuck" (god I hate that phrase). Sorry, if she consents, it's not rape, end of story. That doesn't mean what happened was pleasant or enjoyable, but it wasn't rape. If a woman could claim rape for all sex that she regretted afterward, the prisons would be

Celia
Seriously, they need to shit or get off the pot with Celia. Her character has just felt completely unnecessary since season 3, yet she's still around. If they can find something funny/useful for her to do, they need to start doing it fast, because her plotline at the moment just feels like filler that takes

Agreed. Definitely a setup of things later to come, and a typically obvious one at that. Not sure how that went unnoticed.

Having just watched it again, she pretty clearly consents, and moans a yeah in there. Definitely angry, but not rape.

I don't hate Pants as much as Dunk, but I am really frequently annoyed by her. A lot of her actions just seem like they're there to be "quirky" or just to advance a plot point, even if the actions that lead to that don't exactly make sense at the time.

Agreed, 8 Diagrams was a pretty weak album, but Meth kept me listening to the end. Been going over Blackout 2 for a little while now, and it's great. Haven't heard a really weak moment on it yet

yes, country. I like some of the B-sides he did, but I don't know if a whole album worth of them would hold up as well for me. They've always been good, but never stood out for me. Maybe I'll go "sample" this and decide if I wanna give him any more money

I remember something at least similar in that commentary ElDan. Nobody screams "goddammit" like he does. Cracks me up every time.

a tour would be great. We did get some nice double disc versions of a few Pulp albums that I thought had some pretty great extras on them. I didn't collect a lot of b-sides and rarities so maybe most of those were old news to the "hard core" (pun intended, sorry) Pulp fans.

I get the same guilty pleasure out of SM 2. The whole back and forth with Cross and Elliott is priceless, and of course Faris. I know deep down it's a terrible movie, but dammit it makes me laugh more than it should.
