I do think they are afraid of homophobic signs / chants that might happen if they put Young on TV and make him a major component of the show. But I agree with others that he's not that good. Also it's not like Titus O'Neal is lighting the world on fire.

I thought he was ok. Weekend Update is pretty pointless these days with the Daily Show, Colbert, and Last Week Tonight though. The only funny jokes are about the news stories I've never heard of.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but the central joke seemed to be: "70s melodrama was a little over the top right?" Got pretty old.
