Though now it does make sense that the Canary let Roy go when he got a text from Thea about Laurel being kidnapped and them needing to help.

What about Olibel? (or Isaver?)

Well you would say that, your space eminence.

I guess it is not that surprising that given Laurel's descent into self-pitying obnoxiousness and the sudden reveal that Sarah/Canary is pretty awesome, suddenly young Oliver's slipping off with her on a Pacific cruise makes a lot more sense.

Amy Acker and Sarah Shahi both live tweeted the episode. I think they are pretty much shipping Root and Shaw, too. They are having fun with it anyway.

Also I loved that Shaw deduced the guy was a CIA agent because he could fight and was wearing a bad suit!

Well, Arkham Asylum could never hold the Joker for very long. I don't imagine any institution, even one improvised by Finch, will keep Root for long unless that is part of her plan.

My mind is blown. That is interesting. Though we now know that Shaw's first name is actually "Sameen" and Root's is "Samantha." But still I can only hope that portends more development of their relationship.

Ah I missed that part. My bad—though I would still think that Shatner for all his faults has given some performances that are better than those of some Oscar-nominated actors (and he was really quite good in "The Hungry Glass" and of course "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.")

I was sort of thrilled at the end to think about what they were going to do with Root—the idea of her being now based in the same place as Harold, while surprising, is pretty interesting in terms of what they can do with that & it is nice to see the crew sort of coming together…?

The old horror anthology series are far underserved on this—what about William Shatner in The Twilight Zone (Nightmare at 20,000 Feet) and Thriller (The Hungry Glass) for example?

"I suppose it's too much to hope that she tased herself?"
"Knowing Shaw, it's possible."
What a great character they have created w/ her that has elevated the show so much, and then in addition to that creating her antagonistic relationship with Root, it is fantastic how an already really good show figured out a way

Don't judge him!

Yeah I liked Dean being worried at the end whether Charlie would come back especially.

For Those About to Rock we Salute You! So perfect for this show, with the heavy metal cues going back even to the early seasons. Thought it was interesting they underplayed the potential Charlie-Dorothy girl romance—if you hadn't seen her earlier episodes and just watched this one I don't think you would know that

And Sam is going to read the Game of Thrones books!

Or my all time favorite such gag:
"She's behind me isn't she?"
"No I'm in front of you!"
(Bender screams)

Felicia Day is on Supernatural tonight too. (Yay Charlie!) I quite enjoy her character on that & her relationship with the boys. And though I have some issues with Supernatural, it does definitely make me feel more forgiving toward the show for incorporating the Queen of the Geeks into its world.

Ha, no, I know what you mean. Daphne Ashbrook in particular seemed to have only a very passing familiarity with the series as a whole, but why would she really?

Under penalty of torture!
