It is my expert experience that the Life Aquatic has one of the more satisfying endings of any Anderson movie.  I totally love it.

BE STILL!

BE STILL!

Oh man, the video for "Muscles" should always be one of the most famous things on the internet.

Just wanted to add to the accolades- saw this at the Wisconsin Film Fest and it was the best dang thing I saw all weekend.  It's always nice to see an action/thriller done "right" and this one gets there all the way.

I've been wondering how similar this is to that movie that came out a few years ago, "Dead End" starring Ray Wise?  Can anyone wise (not Wise) me up?

Y'all are being ridiculous.  It's sub-par Stones bar rock.

Remember The Mountain Bed consistently makes my wife cry!

Casino Queen is very, very embarassing.

Also, Yule had a hand in a lot of the arrangements on Loaded.  As I love Loaded most of all (while acknowledging it's totally an outlier in their discography), Yule is aces in my book.

Man, her first album is really, really great so I am excited about this.  It's like, "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" great!

See, if the internet had been more of a thing back when Twin Peaks was on the air, you wouldn't have all the hand wringing about how they solved the murder mystery too soon; we'd be able to point to stuff like this.

Rope is awesome.  I can't believe you guys haven't gotten to top fivesies yet.

Dude, Strange Behavior (also sometimes known as "Dead Kids") is pretty dang awesome!  It really transcends it's budget and ends up being pretty compellingly freaky.  (Condon wrote, but didn't direct, right?)  Also, this movie got me in to Tangerine Dream a couple years ago, just right before this current period where

Man, I've liked everything from Of Montreal UP to False Priest - that was such a hookless mess to my ears that when PFork came along crying "no hooks" on this one, I immediately had reservations about picking it up.

So - is Below actually good?  I've always been curious about it.

I totally thought the ending works - I feel like you guys that don't like the ending probably don't like horror movies very much.

Gotta disagree with Noel here - Broadway renditions of Stax songs sound pretty terrible.  This way, I can continue to ignore this and we all win.
