I made a similar comment above, but he hit a small burger place in my town that absolutely benefited from the attention (and still does every time the episode is re-run).

I've been to Olive Garden exactly twice. The first time the waiter was talking about the specials, and helpfully pointed out that they're actually made from fresh ingredients as opposed to the regular menu items, which they just chuck in the microwave. I commended him on his sales skills.

I ignore his shows and restaurants quite easily, but his constant championing of mom and pop restaurants as he travels the country push him into positive territory for me. I know of one tiny place (Lankford Grocery) where business picks up substantially every time their episode airs.

Funny story on Moe's. There's a small local chain in Atlanta called Willy's, and someone wanted to franchise some stores.
