An ex boyfriend, while at university around 1999, noticed the building behind where he lived was expanding big time. He looked into the tech company being built there and went to his parents, asking for a bit of money to invest because they were expanding so rapidly. They were like, 'Are you crazy, with your student

I used to go to school near a few bars they'd play at in Glasgow - and I think they even played a gig at the school. I was too broke to go see them, even 10 pound was a lot for me at the time.

*throws up in mouth a little*

I have two guy friends who turned down three ways with two women. Both are attractive people but pretty awkward socially - they didn't have time to get more comfortable with the women and got so consumed by insecurities, real or imagined, that neither could go through with it, for fear of the women mocking them/fear

This is very true.
However i still think Gus has a bit of a dorky charm and can certainly be funny when he wants to be. Plus his friend circle looks like a lot of fun. I dunno, maybe because i like dorky awkward guys, i can still see the appeal (on a surface level for Gus - as the show moves on you see different sides

Though i do agree that Rust ends up with hot women through the show, the only thing i find off about it is how many of them there are in such a short period of time and he just falls into those situations. I, personally, think he's pretty attractive - it's really not unbelievable to me at all that he could get at

Paul Rust in this show is definitely my type, physically - i've dated two guys who have more than a passing appearance to him. I believe he could get a cool, attractive girl. Just not this many, in this short amount of time, that's stretching it.

Yes. I get the same feeling when a friend of mine, who does stand up in his spare time. Sometimes i feel i'm not listening to a conversation but they're trying out a comedic routine on me and just didn't let me know.

Rob on Ghostwriter though was one of my first crushes (along with Jonathan Brandis, RIP). I, like, looked everywhere (before the internetz) where i could send him fan mail. Unsurprisingly, not a ton of need for that, never found out where to send my letters of devotion.

My grandparents had only one kids type thing (which, didn't end up being for kids really) at their apartment - it was an Andy Capp book of the comic strips. I read it hundreds of times out of boredom. I mostly just wondered why he yelled at his wife so much and took so many naps.

I'm female, in my mid-thirties and i always loved AC DC ever since junior high and found 'Back in Black' and 'Razor's Edge' at the home of a family i was babysitting for. The songs are pretty fun, catchy, with some badass guitar and I never got the creepy vibe from the band at all.

Exactly how i feel about Billy Corgan/Smashing Pumpkins.

Yeah, definitely. I'm 36 now and started reading the column when i was 16. It was a great way to open my mind about what different sexual proclivities exist.

Vaguely related: When i was in high school, an exercise my therapist had me do was videotape me during an entire counselling session and have me watch it the next week after and analyze it.

Howard: 'Hey, check this out - i was going through some of my mom's old pictures, and this was her before I was born!'

But what about the hi-larious hi jinx about Bernadette getting cranky and ordering Howard around during her pregnancy? Howard being scared of seeing his wife give birth (lol soooo gross til he sees his baby for the first time and aw shucks i kinda like this lil' mini-me guys!). Howard and baby-teething related sleep

Don't get the appeal of Damon Wayans junior. He just plays as usually this sullen, immature guy.

They don't use the term 'downtown' - they use 'city centre'.

For me, Alan Alda is the big draw in this, he's perfect. You have some sympathy for the guy, whose ego is the bar, and the power he has over the patrons. It's all he's got and you don't want to see that taken from an elderly man.

And the fact the guy is just like *shrug* 'That's fair.'
