One of my favourite Chris rock lines is comparing Michael Jackson's later years fashion choices to 'dressing like Captain Crunch' to his court appearances.

I was in junior high when The Razor's Edge came out. This awkward 12 year old small town canadian girl absolutely loved the shit out of this album. Money Talks is my number one sing along song still to this day. You should've seen my face when i discovered Back in Black. Only thing i ever stole - from a 35 year old…
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.
New Girl did follow thorugh but it didn't work out, though Nick and Jess are still friends. One of the few times it was handled really well.
Perhaps a better correlation, if you prefer, is the most popular cultural appropriation of all, a real 'fan favourite' in both the UK and the US: Blackface! Fans just love the blackface singing styles of the legendary Bing Crosby! And you may have heard of the pretty little lady with the big big voice, Judy Garland!…
I'm more uncomfortable with Diplo and Major Lazer and their appropriation of black cultures and manipulating it as using it as their identity - their logo, their videos…i saw some live performance on youtube and was surprised to see Major Lazer was just a bunch of hipster white guys.
Kind of like when you had favourite mixed tapes and when you heard a song from the mix tape on the radio you'd be shocked for a minute that the next song wasn't what you were used to. "Hey! After 'YYZ' 'Barbie Girl' is supposed to be next!
I dunno, maybe i'm just not that impressed by a man who just sits there, dunno how i missed the hilarity. Nick is what makes it funny anyway.
The homeless guy and/or Cici's Russian roommate, c'mon now.
Hot Rod is goddamn amazing.
The 'dipping your penis in vinegar' was so out of the blue, it was actually a bit shocking for a sec.
While there’s an overabundance of songs about romantic love, few artists have remembered to celebrate the equally important platonic relationships in their lives.
The music was really a standout in this movie.
The Fountain. I wasn't that into the love story, I feel Aronofski didn't give enough of a backstory to the couple to make me care that much about them. But the ending in..stop motion(?) was absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous, when he becomes part of the tree. For a movie i wasn't that into, that scene still sticks…
"I CRACKED it in half."
He does have a loaded god complex.
Yeah, on the Atlantic site, half the time it's just the olds bitching about the 'new' quality of writing. I am not familiar with the new or old print version so i don't know how 'good' it used to be? Was it similar to The New Yorker?
I think union station was one of the last muffins. I like the bulk barn at square one.
I'm female, 35 and enjoy being around kids and am pretty good with them but have never had the urge to have them, myself. It's just never been there for me, i have other goals in life. My mom said as a kid i was never into the baby dolls i was given to as gifts. I just wanted to read and play with legos.
It's crazy how closely Justin Bieber resembles Carey as Vanilla Ice, for real.
