So its not just a clever name.

This broken escalator is now stairs. Sorry for the convenience. RIP Mitch

You can't have a party without ice!

Holy moly, the same dude played Walcott AND McCall!? Why did that never occur to me? That actor rules even harder now that I know that. Thanks @avclub-922073b18844540f8fe447c3e93a25b7:disqus .

Vacation 69: the Laycation

Bravo, O'Neal.
I watched Wonder Years when it first came to Netflix streaming, and realized it was the most sentimental sack of dog crap I'd ever seen. It brought me back to my childhood and all, but I was gagging on the sappy, saccharine pabulum for the whole episode. Also, I can't believe Paul went on to become

I was thinking the exact same thing. It was tough enough to find four CD players the first time around.

Allegory, Montessori…

Lynch?! Come on. Personality-wise, he comes off as a very nice, genuinely interested and interesting person still in love with what he does. "Inland Empire" was no "Blue Velvet" and it went up its own asshole for a while but it was a totally fucking insane fever dream of a movie and as Lynchian as anything he's ever

So who actually "invented" Record Store Day? Was it some consortium/industry that stands to gain by its existence? I assume it is, but who? Record companies, Big Plastic? It's kinda like when people say Valentine's Day was invented by Hallmark to make money, but somehow less evil and calculated.

Speaking of HB#2, ever heard the Big Star version on the live fourth disc of their box set? Sloppy but good. Big Star covering Gram Parsons is a cream dream for me.

Like the fanbase was too rabid? I get that. I drank the Kool-Aid, though, and am one of the obsessed. This show just scratched me where I itch, man. Can't explain it.

How can a show no one watched be overrated? Doesn't it at least need to be popular with a large group of people? I don't think "cult" and "overrated" can occupy the same space.

Nice eulogy. I read somewhere Glaser had a few more seasons-worth of ideas for the show. Its a bummer they didn't come to fruition. Either way, funny, funny episode and I'm glad something like this show even existed, however long it happened to go for. I'll be stoked to see what Glaser does next.

WRONG! It was Kierkegaard.

It can't be.
Oh, it be.

They look like some kind of undead "American Gothic" couple. Terrifying

Also, 24 is the highest number.

Keep the change ya filthy animal.

So Delocated is going on… permanent laycation?
