As a fan of Community, but not a member of the cult of Dan Harmon, I thought this episode was really good. Not the best episode, but definitely not the worst.

Everbody loves (to hate) Nazis.
Agreed. It just makes sense now. I wonder if Sam's gonna start thinking about his rocky relationship with his father and how it might have been completely different if he had known that Henry was a Man of Letters when he was alive? I think that's an interesting story to visit.
Well keep in mind that there was a new showrunner this season and, like I've said before, the first thing he'd have to do is clean up the mess the previous one left behind so to speak. I mean, Dean was in Purgatory. You can't just say he's back and move on. It leaves so many questions. I'll admit the Sam/Amelia…
When I heard about this idea of the "bat-cave" last week, I was very excited. I was kinda lukewarm of the "Men of Letters" thing at first, because I thought it was sort of a one-off thing. But when I found out it would be ongoing complete with a library of secrets (and lies?), I got a little giddy. It opens so many…
Yes! I actually realized that last night, but forgot about it this moring. Classic Burt.
Haha, yeah. You better watch out - you might end up like Carrie from Homeland (like Sabrina in the second episode last night).
To be exact, it was:
"We gotta get our sex tape out of that clown's ass."
"I bet no one's ever said that before."
I agree. It was pretty much spot on - very subtle, not too exaggerated like Ann Hathway on SNL (which was great, but would not have worked in this context).
"This is a show about a kid who wears enchanted tap shoes, whose gym teacher's a mermaid. We are not concerned about logic."
I really liked these episodes (especially the first one because I'm a sucker for meta-humour). There were so many great things.
You're wrong. Doog out! *drops mic*
You're right, it doesn't make sense. But after seeing that logo multiple times a day for everyday of your life (they are literally EVERYWHERE up here), the "correct" way just looks wrong.
It's also "Tim Hortons" with no apostrophe.
Yeah, I had to look it up this morning because I've forgotten so much. According to the Supernatural wiki:
Did anyone else get a Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time) vibe from the actor who played Henry? If I closed my eyes, it almost sounded like Sam and Dean were talking to Prince Charming. It was really bizarre and distracting for me.
But that's what made it so surprising and unexpected. Combined with the limo explosion, it made that episode wildly unpredictable and I loved it.
"Dave, you sentimental bitch!"
