While we're on the topic of Canada, the actress who plays Nina is from B.C. according to IMDB (which is doubly on topic). And, as you probably know, the show is shot in the Toronto area. Does this building look familiar?

Yeah, I know that they've never really done anything with her, which is why I get surprised by all the hate. I mean, it's not like she's annoying or anything because she barely gets any lines. I guess it may just be in some people's nature to default to towards hate/dislike, instead of like/indifference. *shrug*

I don't think it really matters whether it works or not. The simple fact that she tries is heartbreaking enough.

I only started watching this show a few weeks ago and, after blowing through the first season, I can watch it live because it actually airs in Canada (yay!). Anyway, I think this episode stands out as one of my favourites, possibly because I've never hated Nina.

Maybe it's childish, but I liked this part near the end:

Was I the only one bothered by the rubber "FIRED" and "REHIRED" stamps that had the words written the wrong way (i.e. so you could read it on the stamp)? They would've made the words appear backwords on the paper. Other than that, I thought it was a good episode.

While other people might think differently, I've always liked this show. So, I would recommend it. I find it more appealing than The Walking Dead (the other post-apocalyptic show) because of its sense of optimism and action (as opposed to The Walking Dead's inaction). The show's probably not going to win any awards,

"Fat chance" really *should* mean almost definite, though. It makes total sense. English is dumb sometimes.

I went into this episode hoping that I would hate it so as not to be disappointed by the cancelation. But something suprising happened. Not only did I like it, but it didn't make me sad that it was canceled. I wouldn't go as far as to say that I was glad it was canceled, but I thought the ending was perfect as a
