Okay, after a couple of seasons of lurking, I guess I'll try my hand

If I had known someone finally called Armen out, I wouldn't have put off listening to it all week. Now I have something to look forward to tonight . . .

Ty (the soldier) was a romantic interest for Bay in the first 6 or 7 episodes of the first season.  He was Daphne and Regina's neighbor before they moved
into the Kennish compound, so Regina has known him since he was a little kid.  He and Bay had some run-ins when she first
started investigating the life she could

That is one of my all-time favorite jump cuts.

I don't usually check out of any of the "we already know they're doomed" relationship storylines just because I know they're doomed, but I have to say that trying to make "one of these three couples would break up the next day!" sound ominous and dramatic irked me . . . especially since they'd already hit the "autumn

It's not so much a "reality competition" as a "documentary about a pre-existing theatrical competition."

I only knew about it because Matt Roush mentioned it on his "What to Watch this Weekend" column on TV Guide; without that, would have slipped right by me.   It was on PBS, which currently has all three episodes available to watch online, plus some clips of full performances that didn't make it on air.

That was the impression I got as well.  I know during the previews, they showed one of the judges saying something along the lines of "We can't let her go out on stage and perform that song," but that never popped up during the actual judging sequence; I can only assume it was a reference to her wrecked voice.

My biggest complaint about the show?  I wanted more.  I agree that the shortened time frame helped emulate the kids' whirlwind experience, but I wish that the last episode had been expanded so we could have seen more of the performances.

Breaking my usual lurker status to add my voice to the chorus:  REGULAR COVERAGE!

Lines like this are why I anxiously wait for the PR review each week.

I am disappointed in myself for never making that connection before.
