I was in a movie my friend filmed that will probably never be finished called Taco Taxi, in which I had a one-liner when I licked the cheek of the hero, Taxo Taxi, and said "tastes like tacos," to which he replied, "not like yours, honey." Hopefully Machete Kills is better than that.

I just commissioned a local artist to make me a screenprint of this.

These latest AV Club nostalgia pieces on Ministry, TKK and the like mixed with projects like Slicing Up Eyeballs makes me think the long-awaited industrial/post-whatever resurgence/reappreciation might be happening (the whole Gravity Kills/Rammstein thing in the '90s didn't really count since they were new bands).

Universal Orlando … Hurrahhhhhh! *passes out

Intervention, there's a bunch of viewers here who love you like crazy, but we feel like we're losing you, and we want to get you back. At least in syndication.

Yeah, I thought he fell out of a van or something.

and I, too, loved the looming red-and-black WB logo. Reminds me of big clunky plastic videotape boxes.

That was a Zone … no, it was an Outer Limits!

The first thing I looked for when I downloaded HBO Go was Dream On. It was one of the shows I would sneak downstairs and watch to achieve a prepubescent thrill, along with USA Up All Night, Silk Stalkings and The Hitchhiker. There was a specific episode I watched where some woman is trying to corner Brian Benben in

If only the SS had Werewolf Michael Jackson working for them …

I still found the opening strains of "Midnight Special" eerie even in the absence of the famous Zone theme song …. the dark mountain road and Fogerty wails still set the scene for a spooky ride.
The Brooks and Aykroyd TV Theme Song game is still one of the best comedy bits on film. "Thanks for the Fred Gwynne!"

TOR WANT FOR GO TO BED

The speech fog in Titanic is fucking awful. But they filmed that in Key West or something, The Wall scenes are probably filmed somewhere where breath fog is plausible without CGI.

The no-hat thing bothers me. Their hair is frozen into stiff spikes and no one wears hats. I know Jon Snow has luscious black hair but he looks so miserable. Fellow Ohioan Drew Carey wrote of his high school years pretending they weren't cold so their Brut-infused mousse hair wouldn't flatten while waiting for the

Hey, hey, hey, hey Hannah.

WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES

Definitely, the purge of MST3K from Netflix was a crime against sleep.

One thing that bothers me: The Wall looks pretty fucking cold, yet in all the panting Jon and Ygritte do (on and off their feet), you don't see one fog or cloud of breath. I know the CGI timetable for this show is sparse, but geez. I live in Ohio and we notice that stuff.

If you ever take a road trip to Ohio, you can sleep on my couch. I will wear by best toupee.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was on HBO today. Caught the first 20 minutes before work; made mental note to watch it again. A highly enjoyable mod-noir.
