I think most of the X books are terrible, especially Uncanny X-Force. Sam Humphries' writing reminds me of a new millenium Fabian Nicieza, but I've felt that way since he took over Ultimates, and while I generally like Bendis on things like Ult. Spidey and Daredevil, his decompressed storytelling is dragging All New

Man, I wanted to like it, but there just wasn't enough there to grab me…I'm also not so hot on this James Tynion that they keep force-feeding us, it's sorta like Marvel and Dennis Hopeless.

Might I recommend Comeback? I've found it pretty fascinating so far, and I think it's just a mini-series.

That's fair, you dig what you dig man, I can't say I enjoy many of the writers you listed personally (esp. Humphries and Hopeless), but to each their own of course.

That's awesome, I so desperately want to like Flash, the art is gorgeous (I've been a Manapul fan for awhile) but his writing is just not doing it for me…maybe I should bounce back on during the Reverse Flash story?

Probably not, though while I'm not arguing that DC is superior to Marvel (it's not), the lack of quality at DC is grossly over-exaggerated. You really buy 25 Marvel books? Good lord…

I feel the exact same way, this is the best the character has been since…the Perez years? The book is actually selling now! Picoult, Rucka, Simone, Heinberg, none of them could pull it off (though I actually enjoyed Heinberg's brief run).

why drop it when the story ends? That's probably when Lemire will finally be able to tell the stories he wants to tell rather than be shoe-horned into Snyder's stuff…also new writer on Swamp Thing, Chris Soule, is great.

I'm probably pulling the same amount of DC books as I am Marvel books, maybe 9 DC to 7 or 8 Marvel, but most of what DC I'm pulling is awesome…Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Justice League Dark, Action Comics, Batman, Batwoman, Wonder Woman, Batman Inc, Demon Knights (already loads better with Cornell's decompressed writing

I met his wife years ago when I worked at Spivey Hall right outside of Atlanta, she was a lovely lady and quite the pianist. She told some very funny stories about Fred.

Both X-men and Legion of Superheroes are both pretty impenetrable at this point as far as comics go, also maybe from a quality standard. Marvel and DC did really nice jobs making Batman, Wonder Woman, Avengers, Hawkeye etc really accessible and easy to jump into, even Daredevil with his fairly deep mythology has a

Funny, I'd say the Batman trilogy was the perfect distillation of the past 30-35 years of Batman lore. It was all in there; Year One, Soft Targets, The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, No Man's Land, Knightfall, The Dark Knight Returns, The Man Who Falls, what the hell else do you want? The Batusi?

Marvel: Let's also price these "new and exciting stories" at 3.99 and put them out every other week! Oh, do we have enough X-men and Avengers titles? Shit, time to rename another book to fall in line!

If the film is good, it will make lots of money, and the dark Superman argument will be basically null and void…I doubt anybody is going to be alienated unless it sucks ass.

In what way was Iron Man 2 good?

The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 also comes out today, if you dig that sort of thing. I found Part 1 to be most stylized of their animated efforts since The New Frontier, casting Peter Weller as the lead and the 80's origin and vibe of the source material helped too. Looking forward to hearing Ben Linus play the Joker.

I didn't realize there was some great demand for a new Titans cartoon, but unlike most on this site, I found Young Justice to be a bit of a slog…the episodes that were wall to wall action just didn't do it for me, especially this season. Green Lantern, maybe it got better after the break, but every episode I saw felt

Not much of a pop culture weekend to speak of, I went to Charlotte for work, lovely town that I got to see very little of unfortunately.

It's only funny until someone gets hurt…

As long as its not Peeping Tom, cause…yeesh…
