Yes.
Yes.
This is a terrible article. Figure skating is symbolic of the oppression of women—when they're competing against each other? The fix must have been in for Sotnikova—because she won, according to the rules?
It must be a bummer to be only the second best director named "Paul Anderson".
This is the problem with figure skating, you know, and the reason why it isn't a sport. If it were a real sport, the person that wins would just be the person that wins, and we wouldn't be sitting here kvetching about why didn't the judges give it to the other one.
everyone goes spinny-spinny and the one with the prettiest costume wins
I saw that and liked it a lot. Particularly enjoyed the anti-hero having to choose between two hot ladies, and the twist at the end with the memoir. And of course Guinness is fantastic in the part.
Not the old lady herself?
In "Cloud Atlas" two of the six roles Hanks plays are cold-blooded murderers. He also plays a douchey hotel clerk. Of course, he also plays two heroes.
I remember years ago reading an Onion story about how the third Olsen twin was kept on a chain in the attic. Amazing that the other Olsen has eclipsed her weird-looking sisters.
Inches away from an ENG only to lose in overtime. I would say that's a shot to the nuts but that seems inappropriate.
Putin is ex-KGB. It really seems like he misses the Cold War and wants it back. Can't imagine why he is harboring Edward Snowden other than a straight-up desire to piss the USA off.
My favorite thing about McKayla Maroney, other than her being a bitch, is that her first name means "son of Kayla".
Well, let's be candid, she got picked because she's white and good-looking, as opposed to Nagasu who is not white and plain-looking. And the result was that Wagner did not so much as sniff a medal.
After the whole debacle with her being gifted the spot that rightfully should have gone to Mirai Nagasu, I take pleasure in her failure. Don't think I've ever rooted against an American athlete before.
Got to admit I'm amazed to log on here after NBC spent the night showing women's figure skating, the marquee event of the Olympics, only to read a whole article about curling.
Good thing that we picked the pretty white girl to go to Sochi and left Mirai Nagasu behind.
Well, that's why we do it, to irritate you.
Yep. NBC would be roasted alive if it actually gave as much time to curling as McNutt would like.
I was surprised that McNutt does not seem to know about the NBC Sports Network and does not mention it in this review when talking about channels that NBC is using to broadcast live events.
Sweet Jesus, that was a hell of a lot to read about curling. Never thought I'd read this
