When I played high school football my team was the Vikings, and I myself wore a helmet with the historically inaccurate but cool Viking horns. They're cool, but not as cool as the curled Rams horn filling the whole helmet and looking like a bighorn sheep ram is going to smash into you at full force crushing your bones

While the Rams may be a terrible team this year, they will always have the coolest helmets in football. The curled, huge rams horns on them look fantastic and make for an exciting visual effect. Epecially in slow motion on big hits, when the offensive or defensive line is slamming into another teams, and back in the

Everyone agreed that T.R. always acted like a boy in many ways until Quentins death. He always played with his children outside and everywhere. With Alice, you have to think that the death of her mother and the memory of her is what made him a little distant and withdrawn from her in ways.

Teddy was an affectionate and loving parent, but in emphasizing "The Strenuous Life" so much to his children, it put tons of pressure on them to live like he did. And it got Quentin killed. His leaving Alice after his wife/her mother and his mother died like that (both on the same day) is hard for me to accept as

Me too. Controversial figures make for great entertainment, especially when they're performed by brilliant actors.

I agree with the rating of this mini-series and enjoyed all of it. The voiceover work by Giamatti, Streep, and Hermann as the three main Roosevelts was superb. I learned a lot and was thoroughly entertained, which is what a great documentary can do.

This is a great review of what has been my favorite new show of the year so far. I so hope it gets renewed. Top notch writing, acting, and characters who you care about and hate to see make mistakes, but not in that cringe inducing way that makes you feel terrible. I thought I knew where it was going after I watched

The Paul Harvey-Roy Cohn joke leaves me gasping every time. Its one of my favorite jokes. Love it.

Three great Random Roles in a row. I never knew he was descended from THOSE Goldwyns. Wow. It sounds like his parents really made sure he wasn't brought up with an over inflated sense of ego and all.
The thing that I always enjoy so much in RR, is it reminds you of films and TV shows here and there that you'd

Damn good point. It must have been overwhelming on some levels.

Exactly. Sometimes in the entertainment business you have to do things that you don't want to do just so you can advance your career, pay the bills, and put food on the table. Its an extremely competitive and sometimes very humbling existence as Wheaton talked about. That's what was at the heart of this episode.

A friend of mine has a Jack McCoy graphic on the back of his cell, and whenever his office calls the ring tone is the L&O "Bum-bum" or "ka-chunk chunk" or "Doink Doink" as you call it. Has that ever been settled what its called?

You're right, I made a mistake there. Thanks for catching that.

My bad. You're right. Thanks for catching that.

Another great Random Roles. Congratulations @willharrisinva:disqus

I think Emily hits it on the head with this review. I didn't like this mini-series much at the time, even without reading the entire book at the time, just parts of it, because so much of what was supposed to be implied and "read between the lines" in the book was portrayed blatantly and literally in the mini-series.

This is a really fantastic article and truly takes me back. I was 17 in January of 94, turned 18 in September and started my senior year of high school, and all these movies had an influence on me. 1994 was a seminal year for me in so many ways.
I took my sort-of-girlfriend to see REALITY BITES, and even then I

It would have been Dante who would have been shot, not Randall. But your observation of that gap between Reagan/Thatcher and 9/11 is really spot-on.

This was a great interview, and I can't wait to read the one with Daly. My Uncle turned me on to DINER and it was after he got me watching WINGS, and both have become little obsessions of mine. Daly also was a fantastic Superman. You should read this article on DINER from Vanity Fair Will, its amazing. RR is my
