    Violabrowne nailed it.

Until reading this review and comment thread, I had no idea that "Homicide: Second Shift" was a legit video series. I thought they mixed text, audio, and still pictures to save bandwidth. This seems to back that up: http://www.imaginarystudio….

The main unofficial book about the show said that the show (I forget if it was as a whole or just S1) was shot safe for widescreen and would be HD-ready when HD took over.

There should've been a "but they're still great TV for the most part" in there.

By the way, I don't mean to shortchange S3-5 (especially S3) at all. It's more that S3 is where the network meddling gets really bad in a variety of ways (most notably everything regarding the actors' appearances and the episode reordering without any concern for the plot that spoiled "Crosetti") the White Glove

    So…
We can all agree that the first two seasons (which together ran 13 episodes, or a full HBO/half network season) are brilliant.

Oh, how I loved this show.
I came in about a third of the way into the season (and then caught up) after the little media attention the show got went from "Nancy Drew!" to "OMFG THIS SHOW IS AWESOME."

IIRC it was claimed that a Percy Daggs interview was the source of the rumour about UPN nixing Veronica & Wallace as a couple for racial reasons.

    DADDY?!?!
I was a rabid Alias fan, but I could get incredibly frustrated with the show.

It may be less dramatic if you compare her to S6 than earlier seasons and it isn't obvious in a lot of shots. I didn't notice it when I first watched it, just more recently on Netflix and Logo.

    Tom-

And now we have reached Season 7
It's worth noting that Joss Whedon completely rewrote the ending of "Beneath You.". The original is much different, arguably better, and available on on whichever site is the best source for Buffy scripts at the moment.

    Lots of good picks
Some quick thoughts based on some semi recent marathon rematches of some of these.

By the way, the crossover stuff in B7/A4 was messed up by scheduling, so when it gets up to that part of the season, you may want to use a "recommended order" guide.

Where does Willow's leather outfit come from?
Seriously, that has bothered me since these episodes first aired. She suddenly goes from black eyes and hair in the clothes she was already wearing to this ugly black leather thing that's seemingly supposed to be a further manifestation of the dark magic. Especially

Todd, do you really think Whedon was telling the truth there? The claim that he planned that always sounded like a lie to put heat on Amber Benson and cool down the hatred from rabid Willow/Tara shippers that he was experiencing ever since "Seeing Red." Well, that and dealing with the weirdness of Benson turning

Reunion was a really bad show with a sort of interesting concept, but it really should have a bigger legacy, because it's the ultimate "Don't get attached, it's on Fox!" show.

    Ay Todd
Gary = Don's son who Cara Lynn had been dating sort of.
Greg = Mr. Ivey the teacher.

    @Vader:

*HUGE FUCKING SPOILERS* Prophecy plot holes
Yes I said HUGE SPOILERS. Noel, don't look.
