People really overlook "The Fires of Pompeii." Donna's speech at the end in the TARDIS is one of my favorite points in the whole series.

I think I'd go with "Midnight." What's interesting is that both "Blink" and "Midnight" feel more like Twilight Zone scripts than Doctor Who scripts. (I'd throw "Father's Day" in that category as well.)

Miranda Lawson's after Jack?

The real solution to this problem would come a couple seasons down the line, in a post Will Graham adaptation of Silence of the Lambs. Unfortunately, they don't have the rights.

It's like that old saying: "Everyone loves a cane!"

As far as pop science goes, NdGT is entertaining and (more importantly) accurate. I don't think it's fair to bring him down because some dumb people like him. He's the nation's unofficial high school physics teacher - he doesn't need to get TOO into it, he just needs to get people excited. I just wish biology had

The scenes in Meereen are needlessly unlean.

Nah, we're not supposed to sympathize with Lemmon (or really any of the characters). Alec Baldwin tells them that third place is "you're fired," but what self respecting human would let themselves keep a job as a professional con man? The real irony of the story is that getting fired would be a blessing, but Lemmon

National Lampoon's Speed 2?

Oh man, I'd watch the crap out of that show.

I haven't read all of Azarrello's run, but "Freezes Over" is in contention for my favorite Hellblazer trade.

Not to defend Parsons (he sounds pretty mediocre), but really funny people aren't going to turn down work just because the show isn't great. Simon Helberg can be funny when he works with better material. Actors like Patton Oswalt and Paget Brewster were trapped on formulaic CBS shows forever. But I bet they were super

Uh, I'm pretty sure Guardians of the Galaxy IS a mashup of all three.

TJ MILLER.

I wanted to point out how much I love the phrase: "the kind of alcoholism that looks good on television." Perfect.

It's funny, I never would have given ELO a chance without watching this episode. "A New World Record" is pretty great top to bottom. Everyone knows Livin' Thing and Do Ya, but there's a lot of really solid album tracks as well.

Ironically, Hannibal is the main reason the Heroes reboot has 0 chance of being any good. That quality of a given Heroes episode is 100% proportional to the amount of Bryan Fuller involved.

He was framed for stealing the president's… rubies.

The improv show was good! Benny Schwaz knows what he's going.
