Part of me wishes they'd go forward in time a few years, but the kids were pretty much the best part of the first season. So.

The grid system was absolutely essential to the story. Plus, those grid layouts led to some devastating reveals and story progression.

And Jake Johnson was there!

This show could've used more episodes. That's my main takeaway. It compressed time too much, to its detriment. And yet, it was a compelling eight episodes. It was a perfect summer series for HBO. It didn't take anything away from its other shows, and it was strong enough to stand on its own. Turturro was in fine form
