I'm with you. I haven't found a recent Marvel book that I've felt a deep connection to outside of Ms. Marvel and stuff like Ultimates. The problem with the new experimental stuff coming out of Marvel is that it…doesn't feel sustainable. They feel like experiments - the writing, the art. It doesn't pull me in with

"Father"

Yep. I thought hallucination pretty early on. Harold talking about Bear like he's new, but Carter is there and so is Fusco. It was still super effective.

Same! I completely missed this show when it was on the air, but I've been binging it since March. Seeing this episode blew me away. Like, I had no idea she was coming back, and then, boom! Crying.

So when's the movie adaptation of the book adaptation about the making of the musical adaptation of a comic book coming out?

Yeah! Give The Challengers of the Unknown their due, world! It's their time now!

Carol's a better aspirational figure than character. But there's absolutely no doubt she's an Iconic Marvel character at this point.

Honestly, my favorite Manta is just the dude who loathes Aquaman. No reason. He just is an evil dude who hates Aquaman and Atlantis.

Isn't Cisco also in a band or something? I swear I've heard him sing.

We can save him for the Starman TV show that is surely but almost certainly not in production…on AMC, maybe?

Isn't he a good guy now, post-time travel shenanigans?

Drunk Caitlin was the best. Why did the writers saddle her with another non-starter super-boyfriend again? Kept her all dour and no-fun.

Rachel Bloom for Music Meister?

It's a book that would work better as anything else. Which is why the audio book was the best way to experience it.

Jacobi would have been fantastic. But I did rather like that the Master was like, "Oh! You get to be a silly young guy, huh? Well, I'll be younger AND sillier!"

Joey Bada$$ is probably my favorite addition this season. He's mesmerizing whenever he's on-screen. And all he's doing is talking about Seinfeld.

W-H-E-R-E-D-I-D-Y-O-U-C-O-M-E-F-R-O-M-W-H-E-R-E-D-I-D-Y-O-U-G-O

At some point, the teasing becomes cruel to his cast. They've all been asked about it in some form or another since the show went off the Screen! and they're left like, "I dunno, but I want to." Which is a kind thing to say but probably not true by now.

If the Secret Service investigates this then he'd be the first person ever investigated by the Secret Service while under Secret Service protection, right?

I saw LeVar Burton say this live and then sing the Reading Rainbow theme, and I felt myself disappointing him just by existing at the same time as him.
