They are quite a few areas where you could push or pull train cars onto side tracks to get them off the main line. That would be a lot easier than tipping them. And we are not really talking about a long distance here. They are in Lowell Indiana heading toward Noblesville, about 130 miles.

I remember the green-lit night vision images of the start of the Gulf War when I was in high school. I remember using some of the early BB systems, being amazed that I was talking to people across the country. Then I went to college and the rest of the decade is a bit blurry.

I agree, and I think you could say similar things about Linklater films. Trying to inject philosophy into a film either comes off as corny or overbearing. That being said I can enjoy the films on their level and don't really get the hate compared to some really awful films like Batman and Robin. The worst you can say

@avclub-189e3f782cbb3f4cc1ae9702adca884e:disqus Same with me, I was going to rage about not seeing Amores Perros, but then saw it came out in 2000.

I can grok that. I saw them in a small venue in Amsterdam and was blown away. Saw them a few years later at a big fest (Ozzfest?) and was meh.
That probably has more to do with the crowd than anything, but a really great live band can knock it out of the park in any venue - see Jane's Addiction.

Over 1,000 posts, dammit there went my afternoon. Glad I have an enclosed office so my underlings could not hear my giggles. Thanks again AVClub.

Yeah, I got banned from Boing Boing for a couple of days and it legitimately hurt my feelings. For a moment it made me rethink how invested I am in my comments, then after some groveling I was back in, but now I feel like I am walking on thin china teapots or some other mangled metaphor.
