At least, it's classic Simpsons w'e're ripping off
It was sweet, but the source material was better. That plotline is a lift from "El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer".

While I'd love to see it, I doubt ABC is forward enough to have the white female lead of a series in a long-term, committed relationship with a black man and be mother to their child. With an ensemble cast like Grey's Anatomy, maybe, but not as a lead - too much of a flashpoint for advertisers.

I was a sophomore in college and this show got everything so right it felt a little voyeuristic. Admittedly my freshman year roommate was German, not British, but it was damn creepy the way Apatow and his crew got the details down.

That definitely played as a little shady, especially with the oddly obvious Godfather allusion. I took it as the TMU staff seeing Luke not only as a potential recruit, but showing to Vince they can take care of him and his friends. It's not unheard of for schools to offer scholarships to star recruits' friends as

Hard to be outraged
You do remember it's already been a children's cartoon series 20 years ago, right? Can't get more family-friendly than that.

Britt would never say "cotton"
but Gustafson certainly would. I thought it was clear that Hank was speaking from experience about a partner slipping away. It's been implied that they were as close as Hank and Britt are (and we've seen the patter between the two is at least as lived-in as Hank and Britt's).

He is an amazing actor and just owned this role from the start. I loved this show and his character so much I had to use a Pembleton quote for my yearbook page when I graduated in 1996 - from junior high.

He may be a sellout and a god-awful lyricist, but dammit, he's still a producer who knows his way around a hook.

Because he was only capturing henchmen, sidekicks and support staff. That was the point: no heroes (Brock) or villains (Impossible) or actual superscientists (Jonas Jr.), only the people who everyone else forgets about - like himself.

You know what's going on there?
Handjobs.

Forget Hydro Thunder
If we're doing updates to Midway racing arcades, where's the Rush series (San Fran, LA)? Now that's a port that the XBox Live Arcade should get on.

Apatow's "Undeclared"
When "Undeclared" aired the fall of my sophomore year of college, it felt like the crew had secretly followed me around for a year. My freshman year roommate was German instead of British and I am not a beanpole Jewish guy but the details and emotions evoked by the show felt almost voyeuristic.

If you have DirecTV as your satellite provider, they've been airing the original for months on their own channel, 101. Between this and Friday Night Lights, it almost makes up for not having On Demand options.

The only recurring thought I had during the boxing episode was "These people couldn't lead me to the bathroom if I was one of their pilots." You had the de facto heads of the air force fighting and crying and dealing with their ugly personal shit IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. I couldn't see how anyone could respect or

A mediocre episode in a disappointing season
It wasn't bad and the character stuff of the guests sorta works but with the exception of the angels, Moffat's Who is surprisingly toothless.

Screw you and your Alien-looking point guard!

Two Bumps Up
This was a solid episode and one of the best of the season. I would normally give it a B- but it gets a bump up each from
1)Will Forte, whose insanity can't really be served on SNL the way it should and
2)the reappearance of "Muffin Top". That song will never not be funny to me.

Nice move
Good for Alan! I remember reading his old NYPD Blue recaps on the UPenn server back in the day before he got hired at the Star-Ledger. He knows his stuff and hopefully the move can raise his profile.

I really enjoyed Catherine Tate as Donna. Like Prole Hole said above, the best mate/sister dynamic between her and the Doctor was a nice contrast to the 'one that got away' Rose and 'rebound' Martha.

You're right; my bad. He was also pretty good in the mediocre remake/update of "Survivors".
