Wouldn't 20 years from now Ted not be quite so joyously happy, though?

I still have the sneaking suspicion that Silas is going to be the great re-setter in this show. Think about it - lots and lots of great characters have died, including Jeremy, the aunt, Alaric, and the numerous "friend from my past" one episode guest stars.
The reference to Nigel St. Nigel (the character he played in that early episode) indicates the OP probably knew this.
Welcome to the AV Club, a site that delights in literally anything that will get a few page views!
Think on, Meg 3.0 has been Team Winchester for quite a while now, and I was sorta enjoying her becoming a nicer person while resenting it. I think some hard penance and then possibly a storyline where she becomes an angel would have been an interesting story for down the line.
I think Mindy is far superior to B&K too. Sorry.
I'd also guess her husband no longer being the showrunner factored into it too. She's the character whose absence I'd feel the least, so making her a normal human and not whatever Bill Lawrence thought was funny is a definite improvement.
They really ought to have had a 30-second clip of that show, just over the end credits or something.
Also, nail guns don't work like that. They need something to push against to eject the nail - Mythbusters did this a while back.
I'm feeling it for Valorie Curry too. I just hope she either moves to my town and develops a taste for schlubby guys, or gets a role in a much better show after she dies in this one.
This x 1000. Bacon being awesome is definitely the only thing about this show you can enjoy un-ironically. He's head and shoulders above everyone in it.
That bugged me - the green screen would only work if they were looking through a camera, right?
The idea that they'll stretch out meeting the mother over yet another season will be enough to get me to stop watching the show forever. Basically, if it doesn't happen in this season's finale, I'm done. They must have seen the way people turned on "The Killing" after not revealing the murderer…
I would watch Kate Rogal do literally anything. I try to be polite on the internet, but she was absolutely next level hot. Yowzer!
If I could give this comment more than one like, if only for the final sentence, I would.
You make a lot of sense, more than me certainly.
Mayostard, if you think that every time they rerun a commercial parody from the same season they're hurting for material, then they must have been hurting for material since the late 70s.
I think the show could do with a few minor tweaks in the power-relationships of the characters. Penny and Leonard should break up, probably due to Leonard cheating on her with Sheldon's assistant (Penny is cold, assistant is totally into him). That way we could get her dumb ex-boyfriend back as a recurring character,…
Absolutely. Think how much money you'd have to pay if you wanted that cast to turn up at a few week's notice and goof around, and you didn't already have a relationship with them?
I was about to say he seemed okay for 30 Rock, but it's probably nearly five years since he was on it. Seems weird he didn't even get a mention though, given how many times he was on in the early years.
