It really isn't. I'm up there in the nerd scales, but have never read any of the HP books or seen the films. While I've heard the name Dumbledore, and Mrs Mortimer has seen all the films, to say it's up there with "Luke…" is just bizarre to me.

The BJ Novak / Eva Amurri thing was so utterly, painfully obvious…I can't figure out if it was a throwback to the worst sort of romantic comedies, or they thought it was a clever spin on an old trope, or what. It just didn't work because there was only one way that plotline was going, and in 22 minutes of show I don't

I think his treatment of that woman was about as bad as he's ever gotten. If they want us to cheer for him, even a little, stuff like that has to stop.

"Actual" mystical symbolism. Fine comedy sir!

Hey, why didn't they call Castiel to resurrect their dead grandpa? He's done it for people they've barely known.

I liked it from the beginning, and think a lot of the negative reviews were people who just hadn't gotten on board with this show's world. I don't think it's improved, certainly.

I watched this a while ago, and if anything it's more rotten than the review leads you to believe. Just absolutely devoid of anything that could give a human pleasure.

Surprisingly not terrible either, that film.

That was pretty bad. I wonder if Levine's problem was eyesight? He was really struggling with the cuecards.

@avclub-d7b683529752a4d24d84c4941861a363:disqus , he pops up from time to time, but you need to have eagle eyes to spot him.

My wife said she absolutely loved Duplass' line at the end, and if he'd used it on her, I'd be a sad single man right about now. And I think while he's not classically attractive, he's got a lot of charm to him.

It seemed a little bit that this episode, sweet as it was, was written by someone who'd not seen much of the show before. I can't believe Tom, after hanging around with Detlef Schremp (sp?) and that other fella at Entertainment 720, didn't so much as pick up the remotest fundamentals of basketball.

I saw it before I realised it was this huge box office flop, and I hated it. Sloppy, unfunny, boring and, considering the pedigree of everyone involved, stupid too. That people are now trying to revitalise it speaks to that desire all writers have to be "that guy" who is first on the bandwagon…I guess in 20 years

Come on @avclub-f56766ef62b1d6867e6ace4bfc82c82e:disqus , you know what he meant. There's a world between what Kroll was doing and knock-knock jokes. Life's too short for you to be a dick.

I thought Workaholics was great in its first season, but by the end of its second had just alienated me to the point I'll never watch it again. It's like you're watching people run out of ideas, on air, and it's bad.

There have been the odd funny sketches (like "Soaked in Success", which was a brilliant bit) but it's just not funny enough.

Maybe it's not wrestling season, and lots of HS athletes do more than one sport.

If the machine had been white and had exactly the same dialogue, would you have minded then?

GODDAMIT WHO SAVED THOSE PICTURES

I'm fairly sure, in one of the early episodes when they could still get those two kids in to read bits, they go "Dad!" at least once.
