In res sweaters: we'll be wearing those British special forces sweaters with the patches on the shoulders and elbows. You know the ones I mean.

The companions were always audience surrogates - as well as people to explain things to - and since Baker had been in the role for so long and his Doctor was so relatable, there really wasn't any need for one by this point. The same thing (essentially) happened with Tennant's 10th Doctor. Further proof: many of…

I guess someone called you on that "Winnebago" thing. Still, "Airstream of Knowledge": nice. Also, I'm fine with Monroe having as his 'favorite' holiday whichever happens to be closest; a lot of people feel this way without too much cognitive dissonance.

Actually, the zombies in "Night of the Living Dead" don't say 'brains' or anything else. They don't talk in the Romero movies, just kinda groan. The 'brains' trope comes from the far inferior "Return of the Living Dead" series. God I love being pedantic!

Also (spoilers) Morpheus kinda wants to destroy himself, and presumably the embodiment of desire would know that. And so would Destruction, I guess. Anyway, I always thought that all of the Endless were aspects - or avatars if I can use that word anymore without paying royalties - of a single mind.

A Chimera is like a turducken in that it's three things in one. Also, tentative word for the new, concurrent fairy tale sequences: paralegends.

I would love it if this show had the balls to dispense with Moriarty, who only shows up in ONE of ACD's stories. Same point about Irene Adler. These very minor characters have been inflated through what amounts to fan-fic for waaaaay too long.

Isn't "Murdoch Mysteries" pretty much this exact show?

My idea for the ending: the narrator never gets to how they met, or even who she is. The kids just get bored and go play video games. This scenario has the advantage of being entirely realistic, as well as being a huge 'fuck you' to the fans!

The ancient Egyptians had a dietary prohibition of pork, since they believed that that was where leprosy came from. I kinda assumed the writers were playing off that, along with the topical concern with transgenic viruses (bird flu, swine flu, etc).
