I think the reason that the Blake Oakfield character isn't as well received in the US is because a lot of the material is directly parodying the infamous Australian surf gang "The Bra Boys"
Hopefully "Are You There, Chelsea?" gets cancelled pronto, thus freeing up a spot for Community.
