Agreed.  I am really, really liking Broadchurch.  The last episode was just amazing.

There was one amazing Bacon line that I don't think has been mentioned, but was my favorite:

That's fair.  I'll just wait in the wings should you be unable to fulfill your duties.

God help me, I'm even starting to find Cochran and his dry wit kind of sexy.  All that Philip in my face is infecting me with crazy.

There are not enough Likes in the world for Dr. McKillcultist.

He is hotter than fuck.  Is that a thing?  Because that's the phrase that runs through my head whenever he shows up.

I was watching the Big Fat Quiz of the Year on Channel 4, and they ended their year-in-tv montage with Malcolm's "doesn't matter" from the final Thick of It, and I unexpectedly just started crying.  Capaldi just fucking KILLS me.

A big part of what made the whole things so distasteful was that it happened in Bangladesh, where a huge point had already been made about the poverty they were seeing.  The Twinnies obviously knew that the longhairs would have no choice but to go out and beg in a place where they had no business begging, and they

The twinnies really ruined most of the season for me, I have to say. I remember when the show let people pool their money to try and keep someone from winning at the auction—Yul gave his money to Becky to get her the "challenge advantage," for one.  That was more fun to watch than someone just jumping in at $500.

Every time someone bought a covered item, I actually said out loud "This one has to be the sea cucumber."  Such a let-down.

I just wished it had been the Facts of Life theme.

And my favorite part of his exit routine—"Nah, I don't think I'm going to hug anyone else…"
