I can recognize that he's become increasingly irritating lately, but The (UK) Office is my favorite show of all time and I just can't bring myself to dislike him.  And I still love The Ricky Gervais Show.

I hadn't considered it from that angle, but you're right—everyone involved in this story is probably an asshole.

This is the sweetest goddamn thing I've seen in ages.

God, I love this show.  The extent that I've come to care about these characters in six episodes is kind of amazing—I was actually in tears during the scene with Colin.  I think I'm going to have to seek out some illicit means of seeing the second series right this minute.

Hey, I was the audience of one on Night After Night when I was 18! I never ever get a chance to mention that, so this is very exciting. And Havey will always be a dreamboat to me.

I remember not finding the first few episodes terribly funny (though fun enough to keep watching) , but I think the show really picks up steam in the second half of the first series, and the second is even better. Tennant's narration gets loopier and loopier, for one thing—("Her 'blog,' or 'video blog,' or 'vlog'…).

My brain reads this note as "I am the fucking love of your life" every time, which makes me think the whole thing is interesting for a second.

Ugh, this fucking guy.  His columns have ranged from irritating me to making my skin crawl since he was writing for Entertainment Weekly years ago. The fact that he's entering his 40s with the same fratty, cliched ideas about manliness and whatnot tells me more about his issues with maturity than watching the Avengers

I have really come to love this show (based on the whole first series), despite the fact that I'm not from a religious background at all, haven't been to a church since I was a kid, and have almost no knowledge of the Church of England.  I hope the idea that it's a show about religion isn't keeping people away,
