It was on for quite a while, couple of years or so, I think.
I remember the vampire, but not the split personality thing; I must have given up on it by then.
At the time, I was regularly donating blood, and it used to piss me off that the vampires would go to General Hospital and steal blood, like it didn't hurt anyone.

Some soaps used to have comedy, too—GH used to have some beauties, like a long-bickering married couple beating each other senseless with pugil sticks at a marriage couselling session.
In one memorable All My Children, the great David Canary did alternating scenes as the twin brothers Adam (evil capitalist) and Stewart

I haven't watched soaps in a while, but some characters also had their own music, though not in a big way.
'Way back on GH, there was one nurse who always entered a scene to a march tune.

I still remember (vaguely) sitting on the floor, playing with toys, while my mother watched General Hospital. That was back when John Beradino was still one of the important leads.

Are you forgetting Port Charles, the one that turned Lucy into a vampire slayer?

Is Marlena—the actress, I mean—the one with the identical twin sister?

I don't, either, but my excuse is that I live in East Texas.

Yeah, too many trips to the well, but I still listen when they start replaying the episodes from the beginning.

Given Barrymore's family, would she know anyone except Hollywood types? Seriously. She didn't have a "normal" childhood by most people's standards.

I used to have Gatemouth Brown's autograph. Paper napkin, no real longevity in a humid climate.

C'mon—after the fourth movie, his co-workers had to talk him back inside from the ledge.

Huh. Old Harry's Game. It's been done.

Magic Dave, by the time it stops feeling good, the job is usually done.
It's win/win.

I read that as Tourist Gay meme. It might be better.

Some people like to squeal like a pig.

Thirded.

Old Harry's Game, Andy Hamilton.
Too many trips to the well, but it still makes me laugh sporadically.

Lithgow had a lovely cameo in The Player.

In terms of country music and dancing, the percentage of men who can dance is very high. More structured dancing, too, for what it's worth.
George Strait even had one tour that required part of the audience space be set aside for a dance floor, for whomever wanted to dance.

If she swallowed, she wouldn't have that kid.
