EGGHEAD LIKES HIS BOOKY-BOOK!
THAT'S THE JOKE
I liked Horse and His Boy best when I was a kid. I reread them all recently and liked them all (except Last Battle, of course), except for the parts where Aslan was present. C.S. Lewis writes a great adventure story when he isn't beating you over the head with Christianity.
Zelda - Wind Waker. I just want to cruise around on a little boat and maybe sort mail in a tropical environment.
I used to watch this after school every day when I was a teenager, and I've been watching it again since my boyfriend bought the box set. It's surprising how much of it I internalized to the point of not remembering where the references came from. For example: competitive meditation, that stupid elf clock that was…
How about a Sonoran Desert Toad? They basically stay in hibernation from September until May, and just come out to reproduce real quick when the summer rains start.
That film was a failure of biblical proportions.
Herb: "Blunder of the century? What about New Coke?"
Other hobo: "Hey, *I* invented that!"
I really appreciate the fact that the show has never made a source of conflict out of Gene's gender non-normative behavior. I really wish this show aged the characters in the manner of Adventure Time because I would love to see more about Gene's developing queer sexuality.
Birthday Boy.
The old bear in the car, eh?
One of my favorite fun facts: Tom Kenny, voice of Spongebob, Mr. Show alum, and voice of Ice King on Adventure Time, was also the man who went to the moon in the Smashing Pumpkins video "Tonight, Tonight." The woman was his IRL wife, Jill Talley, also of Mr. Show (and voice of Maja the Sky Witch on Adventure Time!).
I lost it when Mickey makes the mad rush to squeak his pedicab in front of the little kid ridey-train at the carnival. One of the best bits of a great episode.
He'd make a good addition to that trio of other restaurateurs that Bob is talking to at the Farmer's Market in the Moody Foodie episode. I really wish they brought those guys back. I also wish they gave more frequent and substantial appearances to the prostitutes that Bob befriends as a cab driver.
I like Ron Lynch because he's also Mr. Pig in Adventure Time! There's a lot of Adventure Time crossover with Bob's Burgers…Kristin Schaal is Jake Jr, Dan Mintz is another one of Jake's kids, the guy who did Skip is Prismo, and Aziz Ansari was in an episode. Jon Katz also guest starred in each show.
Oh no, a website has noticed how pop culture tends to treat women and isn't acting like it isn't a real problem. However will we manage?
You know who should have been in the Freezerdome though? Louise's friend Jessica (from the Slumber Party episode). Jessica would have been BRUTAL.
I saw this movie last night, and the main improvement I can think of is that Riggan's old role should have been in a Harvey Birdman live action show.
My fella and I recently got engaged, and we are 100% going to have that cake at the wedding, as well as pig cufflinks, a huge sub sandwich, the wedding vows Homer writes in this episode, and possibly other Simpsons jokes.
My gut agrees with you about there never being an appropriate age for a Frozen wedding, but part of me doesn't see how it's different from Star Wars or Zelda weddings, which I think are kind of fun and cool.
