The reveal of the Emmy nominations, or as I like to call it, my annual reminder that Homeland is apparently still on.

I'm just going to take this opportunity to say I don't understand why Roz Chast is so well regarded. It's like if the comic strip Cathy focused on Upper West Side anxiety instead of chocolate.
Yeah, she's frankly a bad sketch actor, insomuch as someone can be objectively bad at sketch comedy.
Yeah, I'm sure they had that in mind when they created the character like 10 years before that reveal.
You know it's safe. Why? Because we tested it on animals.
Especially given that millennials would have been, what, somewhere between the ages of negative 3 and 10 when this aired?
Yep!
FOR BEST DRAMA SERIES!!!!!
Holy shit, I went to high school with her.
Yeah, but she should have just listened instead of committing acts of microaggression.

Funny, the GIF Zach Braff posted would have also worked for, "My reaction to a rich guy's pleas to fund his shitty vanity project film."
The way he refused to ignore AIDS like the Reagan administration wanted him to WAS pretty funny.
I believe the plural is Coyotes Ugly.
Eh. I think the AVClub would have called it shit if they thought it was shit.
Merchandising??? From a movie??? Man, they're clearly desperate!
I'll be honest - I'm not going to see it, because I've never cared for this franchise in any form. But I hope it makes an absolute killing after all the vitriol it's been a target of.
I don't know if it's lowered expectations or what, but I've been pleasantly surprised by a bunch of recent studio comedies (Spy, Neighbors, the completely unnecessary but still hilarious 22 Jump Street). I actually preferred them to the Bridesmaids/Knocked Up movies.
God, I hated Obvious Child. It may have been the worst, most egregious entry in the "self inflicted problems of the do-nothing 30 year old children of privilege" genre.
Generally agree, except on Obama. He does have a distinctive speaking style that some have nailed really well (Jordan Peele, Donald Glover) and some have done really badly (Fred Armisen).
