My final major aside about Africa and Australia: when did they stop having Bryant Gumbel host the reunion shows? He was a weird choice and he came across as really creepy at times (he drilled Elisabeth and Amber on their reasons for not wearing bikinis and and asked why no one was having sex on the show).

One of the things that surprised me in Africa was just how much of a bad idea that location was. Lions were literally right outside the camp and someone had to keep watch every night. I do hope you like it. I would not wish unenjoyment on anyone. I had no problems with Ethan. He was a nice guy and probably the shows cleanest overall winner. My only issue was him was that he was a quiet introvert (which I would probably be on the show) and due to that fact he was not very exciting.

I liked T-Bird and think she was underrated. I think part of my dislike of Lex does come from my memory of Bitter-Mohawk guy. I think the main problem for me was the cast itself. I don't think Caleb ever directly brought up politics on the aired show. He did portray himself as a hunter, outdoorsman good old boy though. Honestly Survivor has done a pretty good job showing gay people in a wide variety of lifestyles and personality beliefs.

I was hoping it was the writer of Pirates: Band of Misfits. Big disappointment.

Yeah that was fun. I honestly think I would have enjoyed this more if this season had some good gameplay or was generally more enjoyable.

The general rule for me was, my enjoyment of the season was directly proportional to how much Tom was on screen and indirectly proportional to how much Lex or Brandon was on screen.

That red tribe on Survivor Africa was seriously awful. They sucked and they deserved to get Pagonged. Every decision they made was terrible. Their highlights.
