Or just call up Mary Steenburgen and see if she wants to hang. She seems like such a super lady!

Hey, John. Nice review, man. I really appreciate your style of not describing things in terms of "best ever" and "placeholder episodes" and all of that other stuff you see all the time in other writing about TV. Looking forward to the rest of the season (and possibly also Nathan For You, hopefully!).

After seeing that beard, I would never take anything out of Ted Danson.

Ben Carson would have jumped and slid across the counter rather than running around it.

Absolutely loved Ted Danson's beard.

It's called "Pariah" on IMDb and is listed as a TV movie. It has the same director of photography as The Master. That's kind of weird.

He was in a pilot directed by Rob McElhenney and written by a couple of guys who write for It's Always Sunny. I'm not sure what the deal is with it now, but when McElhenney was on WTF earlier this year I feel like I remember talking about it as if it wasn't dead, but maybe postponed temporarily? I don't know, I could

I know he's increasingly a divisive figure around here, but for what it's worth Netflix also has an animated show coming in December from Bill Burr (as in he co-wrote the entire thing and is the main voice actor).

The dance that Josh Fenderman does over and over in that sketch is so goddamn perfect, and I'm pretty sure it's also physically impossible. I've tried to do it a bunch of times, but I've never gotten it right.

It's from an episode which opens with Bob and David tailoring their stage show for a corporate event, so they're sort of gently ribbing some dressed up guys in the audience, and then David just goes way over the line and mentions one of the guy's adult diaper.

Why did I not watch the new Bob And David thing on Netflix?

Indeed! I was worried his recent promotion would mean he'd be publishing less of his own writing, but I'm very pleasantly surprised to be wrong about that. I hope he'll also review the new season of Nathan For You because I'm greedy.

He doesn't have film franchises, he's got family.

Reviews by John Teti will run weekly.

I could probably sustain myself on nothing but discussions of Boogie Nights, so that's what I'll do. One of my favorite parts of that movie is right at the end of Dirk and Amber's sex scene, when Little Bill goes up to Jack and says they missed the cumshot because Dirk finished inside of her. There's real drama about

Thankfully they did not, although the movie gave them plenty of horrible events at which they could have. No, they were really more just chattering in the way that any big group of 18-and-19-year-olds would be.

For sure, which is even more frustrating. I knew I was in trouble when literally the second the movie began one of them went, "Wait, what's this about again?," which could have been a hilarious MST3K kind of thing if he had been joking, but he clearly was not.

Not a top ten, but the "12 Angry Men" episode of Inside Amy Schumer has been the best thing on TV all year so far. The Jinx had the best final two minutes, I'd say, although Justified's were awfully good as well. And I'd give the Wet Hot American Summer prequel miniseries the old one-two.
