noel, did you use the album and greatest hits version of "runaway," or do you just like it a lot?

chinese democracy?

cameos
the usher two story in the martian chronicles is fantastic and, although people are gonna hate on me for saying so, i really enjoyed the poe stuff in abraham lincoln, vampire hunter.

no, lupita!
don't listen to that nasty old pitch!

for the record, i'm nowhere close to being a hardcore gamer, and it's certainly not all hate on my part- there are many games that deserve recognition and a fair number that i had never heard of and now really want to play.

i've played warlight for two of the last three hours, so i'd say productivity drops about 66%

1001 video games you must before you die
this isn't about the above article, but i just saw this book yesterday and was curious to know if anyone else had checked it out. i mean, i think it's a neat idea, but very poorly executed- many of the early write-ups are more about the history of games, stating things like

i was stoked, downloaded it, and… eh. maybe my fps chops are out of shape, but i found the controls to be really "loose" and hard to get used to.

where are all the wu-lyric/"stop posting wu-lyrics lame white guy" posts?

my friend wore a banana costume to lady sov's dc halloween show a few years back and was asked up on stage only to be playfully knocked over, kicked, and doused with water.

it will be double-awesome if you're big and retarded.

why so seriously?

@the moose- sounds kinda awesome. if the result would've been a simple TPing or egging, i might have fucked with the kids in my neighborhood, but these were the kind of dudes who would literally make our bus driver wait while they finished their blunts before school.

i couldn't even score with *myself* after watching straw dogs- can't imagine how an early date would turn out.

gay people are full of fireworks?
so i guess that delivery room scene proves that you're born gay rather than choosing to be homosexual.

non-costumed trick-or-treaters
half the trick-or-treaters in the neighborhood i grew up in were guys between fifteen and twenty who, wearing street clothes, would just say "gimme some candy."

at least you didn't end up killing yourself, right?

god, a few years back people were dressing up as the baumer every. day. and i never realized it!

my short-haired, very attractive, female friend made a pretty good moz costume in college by styling a pompadour and wearing a a glittery shirt open to expose her "chest," which was a flesh-tone shirt with hair and nipples drawn on.

"the secret" got a special place in one of the darwin awards books, right?
