Poor Shannon Luccio - her characters getting killed not only on the same night, but back to back (she also played April Kelly the Reaper in Supernatural).

I'm surprised this is the first comment bringing up "The Dead Zone," or that having an actor who played a "real" psychic firing Shawn.  Pretty spiffy casting.

Maybe I'm giving too much credit to the writers, but I rather doubt that the choice of Henryk Gorecki's 3rd Symphony - the music that played as the End of Dayers set up the vortex devices - was random.
