Wow, that's great. I'm glad he's clearly fine with the whole thing.

But the "here's 100,000 dollars" should soften the blow, don't ya think?

Because most people who watch the show don't know about this meme the AV club has invented.

Somehow I don't think Morgan would take kindly to that.

Micchone wasn't trusted by Rick until this very episode. The only reason she was around until now was because of necessity.

@avclub-e5cb6734891848adc94674a231112f49:disqus  Yes, I suppose Rick could've lied to Morgan, and not told him about the zombie attack that contributed greatly to Lori's death, and not told him about the people trying to kill them, but all that would've done was severely piss off Morgan when he found out the truth.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go back to "you just want the show to copy the comics exactly". Also, we can't spend multiple seasons in the prison. It just wouldn't work.

Yeah, they found him again. Duane was zombified, but chained to the floor. Rick convinced him to kill Duane and go with them. Once they got to that safe-zone in DC, he and Michonne had a brief affair and then Morgan got bit shortly afterwards.

Neither of those things are provable. He could've been working with a group of thugs like the Governor did with those soldiers. The plan could've easily been to get Rick to stop the car, and then ten guys come out of nowhere, guns blazing. Or he could've been insane (and probably was) and tried to attack Carl or

You're drastically over-simplifying. Every person mentioned has had unique circumstances that led them to be accepted or not accepted by Rick and/or the group.

Who the F doesn't like Hershel?!

Morgan?  Is that you?

I would say Morgan was clearly safer where he was, given that the Governor is about to attack the prison. Although it would obviously do him some good mentally to be around other people.

Rick saying, "sure Lori died during a zombie attack, but it's not like she was eaten by a zombie or anything. Also, we need your help in fighting an army of guys about to attack us" would not have been the magic words that convinced Morgan to go with him.

Saying "but still" doesn't really negate the rest of it. She died because the zombies attacked. Morgan's point was that Rick couldn't guarantee the prison would be any safer than Morgan's hideout. And he's right.

You want the show to copy the comic exactly, but thankfully they're not doing that. They're making their own thing.

How have they wasted the Prison Arc? It's the story for this whole season, and it came at the exact same time as the book. Also, Morgan can easily come back into the story if needed.

Rick shouldn't have stopped for him. He made the right call. There was no way to know if the guy was dangerous or not, or if he had friends hiding behind the trees waiting to jump out and kill everyone, like the Governor did with those soldiers.

I don't see how that makes him an asshole.

Why?
