Walt has a loyal henchman with "prison connections". He wants to save Todd for later, if he needs him to kill Mike's men or possibly Mike himself.

I assume Junior knows who Jesse is through Hank's suspension, etc. Walt Jr. seeing Jesse with Walt would be a game changer. Walt took a giant, stupid risk, assuming none of the Schraders would be visiting.

For all she knows, he corrupted Walt in the first place.

It was ridiculous. People have outlined all the implausibilities on other sites, some even calling it a Shark jumping moment. I wouldn't go that far, but I'll gladly take strong character beats over 80's action movie silliness, any day.

Why would anybody test the jar for prints? I think the point is to show that Todd's a fucking psycho.

So, Mike's got Walt all tied up and Walt uses extraordinary measures to escape and…the whole time we're actively rooting *against* Walt. What a difference a season makes.

I thought it was weird he didn't at least have enough sense to wait for Jesse to leave.

Presumably he's been doing it for years. This was never ever about his family.

I remember at the dinner between he and Gretchen, he said that they drove him out, or something, and she has adamant that this was not the case. I was hoping to know exactly what went down, but somehow I think if Walt ever tells the story, it will be 90% bullshit.

Yeah, that seemed pretty blatant. I bet Todd's going to kill Mike, too.
