Lucky bastard.

Actually, it does say that, in every other link on other websites. And yes, every season of BB does start out slowly. It's usually quite a fun ride, knowing we're building to something great. This time, the build will be 14 months. And that's just bad art.

I thought for sure the back half of the season would at least be Spring 2013. Waiting all the way until summer is some high quality BS. They are hurting their brand this way. 8 episodes and then an entire year wait for 8 more episodes will cheapen the final product.  Breaking Bad needs four or five episodes just to

Well, it seems to me a scene with him being hunted down and recaught would be infinitely more interesting than a scene with him chatting with a nobody about nothing and then escaping.

Well, I would hope he's not that incredibly stupid.

This show is very big on introducing BIG PLOTLINES…and then completely dashing them. Why did we just watch over five minutes of Jaime plotting his escape only to have him caught again off-camera two scenes later? I really wanted to see what he would do on the lose.

Did Sean O'Neal see Hot Fuzz?  Pegg's character was a badass, not an immature slacker.

I think plenty of people less famous than McHale have hosted. I say we head over to the Facebook Machine and make this happen!

Yeah. I loved how he leaned forward into the mic each time before answering Sudekis' questions. He really does have a good comic instinct, like his brother.

Wait….the guy who makes anti-gay "jokes" about how disgusting gay sex is isn't the one in middle school? And you're implying that there are other threads in the avclub where deriding gay people with 30 year old schoolyard jokes about anal sex is a-okay? I've never seen one.
If you truly are

I'm really confused now. Like I said, I know now you didn't mean it the way it sounds, but saying "none of this is… to suggest that one [grief] is more legit or stronger than the other" is quite specifically and distinctly and unequivocably saying that Brienne's grief was just as legit as Loras'. I mean. that's saying

I sincerely hope you had to look that up, @avclub-23dc117ef9479407fb6c6a666005af40:disqus

"So I put in that disclaimer specifically to state that I was NOT claiming that Brienne's grief was as legit as Loras'.  Didn't work, I guess".

@avclub-1a0942083b83d8f3eb8ef33d4731b7e4:disqus All right, I broke and read your comment on the experts page.Thanks.

dcp, I was accused of having an agenda first. I was pointing out what a "straight agenda" might look like.(The de-empahsizing of Loras' reaction to Renly's death in favor of Brianne's).  Of course, I'm sure the writer's didn't sit down and think "how do we make it clear that gay romantic love is inferior to straight

I didn't attack anyone and I didn't accuse anyone of being homophobic. This started because Jizbam accused me of having an "agenda" for being upset about the dismissive treatment of the only gay couple on the show. dcp said  Loras' grief is no more legit than Brianne's I don't think anyone would say that if Loras was

Tyrion is one character I'm reasonably confident is safe…at least for a long while.

Thanks, Wasting Time, but I don't want to be spoiled. I'm sure Loras still has a part to play in the Renly narrative. But I'm equally sure Brianne has a bigger part to play. This episode told us that pretty definitely. Hell, even the beard wife got to react more to Renly's death than Loras did.
