They're really embracing visceral grossness in season 8.
Right. Thanks.
THE GIFT
Any scene that takes place in Mulder's old office gives me the eeriest
feeling. The basement office is at once inviolable—I want to defend
it—and magical—I expect something unusual to happen, just because
we're there. Mulder's brief appearance at the end—was that his
thank-you to Doggett?
THE GIFT
There is a long tradition in the horror genres of monsters who suffer; and there are a lot of monsters who suffer at the hands of humans; but there are not that many who suffer FOR humans. This poor, martyred creature needed to be set free.
Lol.
THE GIFT
Who is taking care of Mulder's goldfish? They appear to be in good health.
Perhaps, but humans cannot, and vampires sometimes like to have people over for a bite.
I like it, but I adore paranoia and have had some time to bond with the characters. Suggestion: Watch the pilot. Then watch every episode in seasons 1 & 2 that features Amy Acker and/or Sarah Shahi. Then watch all of season 3. That will sort of catch you up.
"Dracula should invent something that's useful to vampires…"
Well, isn't electric lighting very useful to vampires, at least until Van Helsing perfects the serum?
I like it. I give the episode a B, and these are just a few of the reasons:
Hmmm. I haven't been watching Mad Men so haven't seen Staton's work there. It's not unusual for a very good actor to fall short on a guest gig. I've also seen it go the other way, where a guest performer absolutely nails it and you never forget that episode.
Yeah, that epi didn't hold together very well. Didn't buy the "crook with a heart of gold" thing. Too creepy the way he researched his dates and followed them around.
Beware of phony therapists!
I did enjoy the way Sally's southern accent became more exaggerated when she was doing something underhanded. Shades of Dallas.
I found myself hoping that Fitz having WHATEVER ROLE in the death of her mother would be a game breaker for Liv. He was so awful in this episode. I have no more stomach for Olivitz.
Bad Dad giving Olivia one question was like the evil genie granting one wish.
I dunno. Was there a mixed message from Sarah (who may be queen or at least duchess of mixed messages) when she shows up at the studio in leggings and an up-do to remind Hank it's over? Just saying.
Just wondering…why didn't Hank tell Max that his photo of Sarah was in the drawer with other photos because this was a photo studio and that's where it belonged? They made it seem as though Max had found Sarah's photo in Hank's dresser, along with a pair of her lace underwear.
Root does say "You can't fight the future" in her first scene with Finch.
